You will need planning permission for any additional rooms. Go to your local authority office and ask for the forms. If you build without permission when you come to selling the house, you will have problems because the people will want to see the permission for your additional room

Usually you get estimates by the job from painting companies. They come look at what you want and see how much and how heavy furniture they must move (you can’t do it as they want it moved when and where they want not when and where you want = unless you take it all out of all the rooms to be painted and keep it out till they are finished and leave) You cannot be moving furniture or using the rooms when they are painting.

You can hire a low cost home repair and improvement guy that needs work for 15 to 18 dollars an hour on average and you have to help move furniture around and cover and uncover it as an assistant. (This does not get you a reduced per hour cost)

It costs you nothing to get estimates and then you can select one or none if they do not suit. Estimates are Free.

Sherwin Williams will be able to help you but i do know that a gallon covers 400 square feet but it isnt always true. you have to judge it based on how you put paint on. remember to stretch your paint out and use two coats for uniform coverage. good luck

i need to learn to draw housing interiors and i am horrible at drawing…please help…any suggestions??

I’m sorry but are you refering to interior design, creating floor plans (architectural drafting) or perspective drawing?

By the sound of it I’m assuming that you want to learn how to draw the inside of a romm (like a kitchen) at an angle to show countertops, cabinets, appliances, flooor tiles and light fixtures all in one drawing.

I understand it is wall square footage to paint. But, I was wanting a rought estimation for a 1600 square foot house. We will also be painting the ceilings, so that should add quite a bit right there. Thanks.

One 1600 square ft home may have more actual wall space to be painted than another 1600 sq ft home.

However I’m assuming that you realize this.

I’ll answer your question as you wish, however you will not be on the money with your paint supplies, you will either be under or over.
To get the amount of paint that you need to paint the home, you need to go room by room and get your measurements.

Here we go, as you asked:

If the 1600 is the number that you want an answer for , then your square footage of your walls = 12,800.
12,800 / 200 = 64
Add 1600 for celings
You need 72 gallons of paint.

If 1600 is the amount of wall space that needs to be painted, double that for the ceilings = 3200 / 200 = 16 gallons of paint

the kitchen has beige tiles and the bathroom has dark yellow tiles
would more brown paint be ok or what colour would look best thru out the house…

Stick with earth tones…golds,olive greens,other browns ranging from taupes to reddish hues,or crimson/wine reds for a more dramatic feel..

Do I use the County Recorder or what site to find a house property interior layout?

Few if any states/county’s provide that information. It’s really none of their or anyone else business. At most they provide is livable sq feet and maybe number of levels.
