would you earn more money working as an interior designer in Spain or London? and which city would be the best out of all cities?

Probably London, it’s the second financial capital of the world (after NYC) and has one of the highest costs of living in the world, so I’d imagine that you wold get paid more, but that it would also cost more to live there.

my best friend and i want to be an interior designers and we are both going away for college but to different directions
her birthday is coming soon and i want to get her some stuff she might need.

i thought since we will be far away from each other I’ll get a picture of us and have it framed

but i want to get her something else, so .. what do interior designers need for their 1st year in college ?

For the first year it’s mostly basic design. I would suggest getting your best friend art markers such as these -> http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/online/680&Cat_Level=3 The colors will stay vibrant and can be used for basic design and future design displays.

Or buying her a basic swatch kit that can assist in building ideas to incooperate a entire room pallet of colors and patterns -> http://www.amazon.com/Basic-Swatch-Textile-Fabric-Consultants/dp/0967799805/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207386173&sr=1-1

Trying to improve my home decor in a effort tp make our place more inviting to a prospective buyer.

Actually one of the more popular interior designers just released a new online catalog packed full with ideas and offering to make any home beautiful. There are lots of french country furniture items and lots of accessories to add character and appeal to your home. her pricing is also very reasonable. Here is her site http://www.cynthiaaikeninteriors.com
I hope you find everything you need to make your home so appealing it sales quickly.

I am an interior designer who is currently working for/alongside an interiors Magazine, writing articles about design. This month I am interested to find out how many people would like to employ a designer and what they generally think of designers and why?

Ok, so I’ve seen several which were done for a neighbour.

Living room: the ‘designer’ chose the paint colours from the cushions on the new sofa. How difficult was that supposed to be?

Conversion of 4th bed to "en-suite & dressing room:"
Totally Laughable: Access door was 15" wide, and clothes storage space was a total of 2m of hanging rail.
In the end, the bathroom was not put in, but the ‘dressing room’ is absolutely full of clothing nonetheless. (6m+ of hanging rail and two sets of drawers was what was needed)

I plan on opening my own firm (specializing in hotel and resteraunt design) after I get my degree (I will be a junior this upcoming quarter). What are the best states to live in for this business?

Thank you all in advance :)

Asheville, NC Lots of wealthy people are moving here from all over the country, to build lavish homes. And even if you don’t make any money, you’ll love living here! Oh, and these people eat out at the 600 restaurants that are squeezed into our little city in the mountains.

I’m taking an Entrepreneurship class and the answer to this question would really help in my research. Any first-hand input or links that answer this question is much appreciated.

with the economy the way it is demand is down except for the super rich

Now what I’m looking for is a possible job as an interior designer, and I would like to OWN a home, not rent one, and I would like to know if that salary can be enough to pay the bills, along with some left over. I would be living alone, plus the cost of a dog or another animal. Can anybody help me? Is interior design a good career choice to go into?

Thanks!!

interior designers are plentiful… It takes a LONG time to establish your credentials in that industry. Start by applying for work in a business that features interior design as a service offering and learn the business. That experience should answer all your questions.

Good Luck

Whether you work for yourself or for a company, in Spain you will earn a lot less than anywhere else in the EU.
The quality of life will be better in Spain, but you have to chose between getting the best wages as opposed to living well.
