I want to do a room design in sort of a city scape. But I don’t know where to start. All I have right now is a massive grey room. Does anyone have ideas on how to do a city-esque room? Or can you provide links? I’ve been searching around, and I haven’t found anything good, except for a red phone booth idea for the door.

I’m looking for either New York or London. A very grungy city design to be more specific.

What city..Big difference in England, Paris and NYC. Also what mood….Sexy, Night life, Day time, Romantic, Fun….Artsy…Gothic…Old world…1920’s…Modern day.

Find some funky lamps at a thrift store and spray paint them black and silver and rust.

Make a low table from an old pallett. Get 2 …Lift the top boards and then set them together without a gap. I want to become an interior designer but I’m not to sure what classes I need to become one. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

You go through a dedicated program, and it will tell you exactly what you need to take, there are basics like color theory, CAD computer drafting and basic drafting, and then the studio classes are labeled like Design Studio 1, 2 ,3 ,4 etc. Then there is construction documents, building codes, etc. The school you are at has to have a dedicated major/program for this.

Best to know what make of car it is, if it’s a hot rod or customized late model. The best thing to do is to look first for the type of seating you want, I happen to love leather. Next, you go with a contrasting color to the exterior, green outside would be a saddle interior, if that’s the look you want. You can also look at other cars at cruise shows in your area. It’s a good way to see what other people have done to to their cars and a good way to find some work that you like, simply ask about the upholsterer who did the work. Most folks are real proud of their cars and will gladly tell you everything you want to know, they might even give you contact info.

It would really depend on what kind of company you have, the kind of image you wish to project, who your target market is etc. Is this an up market design company? Do you wish to project a high class image, where you follow a niche marketing strategy? The best idea for a company that follows a mass market strategy could be the worst idea for a company that follows a niche market strategy.
In any case, judging by the fact that you ‘want something crazy’ I assume this is a new ‘funky’ type of business, catering to a modern, young and possibly flashy crowd. You may like to use out-of-the-box advertising ideas, say get some hot air balloons with the name of your business and its logo imprinted on them, and place these balloons in spots that is frequented by your target audience. Or create a highly catchy tune and use it to advertise the company.
It is difficult to suggest an idea that would agree with your company so I think it’s best for you to talk to an advertising company to give you ideas that agree with the concept and image of your company.

bachlorette interior design ideas? sexy elegant comforting room?

i want to have a sexy elegant bachlorette type of a room,more modern then femenine, for some reason i think masculine rooms look sexier then the typical pink rooms.i have my heart set on navy colors closer to maroon than blue, violet-ish colors for the walls.
the floors are white tiles, would this compliment my wall choice?

what are some suggestions you would have for this room?

right now its just white tiles and white walls, i havnt started.

If you are going to keep the floor tiles white, have you considered greys, camels and punch it up with plum or maroon? It seems like a lot of navy and maroon with white floors is too stark a contrast…just my gut feeling

It a picture of a boy and girl sitting in a barn loft it’s frame looks like it was made to look like old barn wood. I believe it was made in the yearly 70’s I am wondering if it is worth anything.

I would take it to a local art shop and ask them what it is worth.

would you earn more money working as an interior designer in Spain or London? and which city would be the best out of all cities?

Probably London, it’s the second financial capital of the world (after NYC) and has one of the highest costs of living in the world, so I’d imagine that you wold get paid more, but that it would also cost more to live there.
