Also sectional sofas on tiny little legs. End tables and coffee tables in blond wood. End tables had second smaller tops sitting on the first level top. Lamps likely ceramic with tall shades. Lots of tweed fabric. People put plastic slip covers on their furniture. Area rugs became popular. Lots of maple floors. Syrocco–a company– plastic sconces and mirrors were popular in Mediterranean and Spanish looks like wrought iron. Marimeko fabrics were bright and cheery in primary colors–think the Target design look of today. La-z-boy rockers in faux leather. Early American furniture by Ethan Allen becamet popular with traditional people and had highback overstuffed sofas and chairs with plaid fabrics. Naugahyde a fake leather was popular. Beanbag chairs for kids. Mediterranean style with heavy dark wood became popular for those who did not like modern or traditional. Wagonwheel chandeliers were popular in casual dining areas with milkglass hobnail hurricane lamps.
