the kitchen has beige tiles and the bathroom has dark yellow tiles
would more brown paint be ok or what colour would look best thru out the house…

Stick with earth tones…golds, olive greens, other browns ranging from taupes to reddish hues,or crimson/wine reds for a more dramatic feel..

In most cases, you want a lighter hue to create a sense of open space. A beige might work with the brick.

Take a picture, and zoom down to a local paint shop, see what they have to say.

    go for off whites.
it will highlight your brick tiles, beiges and your bathroom yellow tiles too.
at the same time, it will enlighten your house and give you a feel of bigger space.

dark brown shades tend to make the place even more smaller and duller.

Lighter colors open up a room, make them appear lighter and bigger. Choosing a color you like might depend upon the size, number of windows and what you will use the room for. Stripes going up and down in a small room also make it appear bigger because your eye goes up the stripes and gives the illusion of taller ceilings. That kind of thing! :) More brown paint sounds like you would have a very dark house!!! You can even go to your local "True Value" hardware store and they will match paint to material you might be using in the room etc so that everything compliments each other.

That totally depends on the type of feel you want. Earthy tones for a warmer, deeper, rustic, contemporary or modern feeling and off-white, beige or cream for a more light, open, fresh and clean feel.

I suggest getting color swatches and bringing them back and holding them up next to the brick and tile one at a time and marking your favorites. Don’t take pics. I’ve done this and most of the time the camera or the lighting warp the true color.

White and neutral tones are a great way of combining different decorative styles as they act as a neutral transition zone between one style and the other.
